HEIGHTS DRAW WITH ABERFELDIE

The traditional ANZAC Day clash between Avondale Heights and Aberfeldie was held at Clifton Reserve on Saturday 21st April 2018. The teams did not play on ANZAC Day this year due to ANZAC Day being on a Wednesday. Despite this, the clubs maintained the tradition and played for the ANZAC Cup and awarded the Johnson Parker Medal to the best player afield. In an exciting game, Aberfeldie 13.7.85 drew with Avondale Heights 12.13.85. The ANZAC Cup awarded to the winning team will remain with Aberfeldie Football Club this year. Congratulations to Avondale Heights player Cameron Wood on being awarded the Johnson/Parker Medal for 2018. Cameron also won this award in 2017.
