It was a great team effort and has the Heights winning six of the last 7 games (10 of last 12 games) Despite this record, we still need to secure a finals spot over the next two weeks. Next Saturday, the game of the round and one of the biggest games of the EDFL season is Avondale Heights versus Airport West game at Hansen Reserve. This is 3 against 4 in what is a huge game against the two “in-form” sides. The support that our team has had this year is great including our away games. Book in next Saturday and come and support the boys. You may witness Heights History in seeing a player kick 100 goals in a senior season.
The Reserves Team won their third game in a row and are currently in good form. It was a great team effort by a team that has a lot of youth with a splatter of experience. When Essendon Doutta Stars came back in the last quarter, the Heights fought hard and continued their attacking style of football to lead for the entire game and win.The Under 18's also had a comfortable win, beating the Stars in both games this year. This is a feat that the Heights have not done in years. A credit to all of the boys who continue to improve. Round 15 was three wins out of three games for the third week resulting in an excellent day for the mighty Heights.
