VALE: ROCKY CUZZUPI

It is with deep sadness to advise that past Club President and Life Member Rocky Cuzzupi passed away at 7:12pm on Thursday 27 August 2015. Rocky is our club’s longest servicing President, serving the club with distinction and honour from 2002 to 2005 and 2007 to 2011. Rocky became Club President at one of the most difficult periods in the club’s history and led the club back to being the great club that it is today. He helped lay the foundations for a successful club in the modern era and his best attribute was his ability to bring people together for a common purpose and ideology and this is what brought success. He led by example showing respect to everyone and along the way forged friendships that would last forever. In 2008 Rocky was inducted as a Life member of the club. We loved him and we will miss him. The Avondale Heights Football Club and football family are thinking of the Cuzzupi family at this time of grief and our thoughts are with them all.
