AVONDALE HEIGHTS FOOTBALL CLUB - LIFE MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

The Avondale Heights Football Club bestows Life Membership on deserving individuals who have rendered outstanding voluntary and unpaid service for a minimum of 10 years for the benefit of the club and others. Voluntary service includes Executive Committee, Committee, Club Administrator, Club helper and Coach.

Players who have played a minimum of 200 Senior/Reserve games will be considered to have carried out the equivalent of five years service. Players who have played a minimum of 300 Senior/Reserve games will be considered to have carried out the equivalent of seven years service. Those who have played less than 200 or 300 Senior/Reserve games will not have the games played considered on a pro-rata basis.

Players and Volunteers will have had to have represented the football club in an exemplary manner.

A maximum of two Life Members can be accepted in any given year.

Consideration for Life Membership is open to nominations by ordinary club members and must be lodged in writing (and seconded) to the Football Club Secretary three weeks prior to each year's Annual Ball. Nominator to be advised to follow selection criteria prior to submitting formal application.

Election shall be based on a four-fifths majority vote from selection committee. The selection committee will consist of members of the executive committee and selected current Life Members to form a panel of five.

This selection process has been approved by football club  committee, in consultation with a minimum of five Football Club Life members and has been endorsed by the Avondale Heights Sporting Club.
