The Avondale Heights Football Club has been recognised by AFL Victoria's Quality Club Program with Gold Accreditation.  After being awarded the Gold accreditation in 2012 to become the first and only EDFL club to achieve the status, AFL Victoria has now awarded the Avondale Heights Football Club Gold Level Accreditation for seasons 2015 to 2018 under the AFL Quality Club Program. The Heights retained Gold Level status after demonstrating a club environment that is conducive to fun, safe, fair and importantly, inclusive.

The Avondale Heights Football Club is one of four clubs out of over 1200 clubs in Victoria to have this level of accreditation. Gold Level is the highest awarded level and is a recognition of exceptional club administration.
The club has undertaken a number of initiatives that not only highlight the professionalism of administrating the football club, but also focus on player education and welfare and programs that engage the local community.
The Club committee worked hard over the last nine months to remain the first and only club in the Essendon District Football League to be awarded Gold Level accreditation and setting a benchmark for other football clubs in the EDFL.
By obtaining the Gold Level accreditation, it demonstrates that the club is fully committed to providing the best possible football environment and the community with a safe haven to enjoy their footy.
The accreditation is a terrific endorsement for the work carried out by the committee as well as being an endorsement for players and parents of junior players looking for an excellent football club to be a member of.

The EDFL have congratulated the Avondale Heights Football Club administration and members for the work they have done to retain this excellent standard.
