HEIGHTS COACH ANNOUNCEMENT

The AHFC would like to inform all our members, supporters and the local community that Donald McDonald has informed the club that he can no longer be the Senior coach of the Avondale Heights Football Club.
The club has appointed 2019 senior assistant/midfield coach, Patrick Byrne to the role effective immediately.
Patrick brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role with an extensive coaching resume throughout the Riverina area over the last two decades.
Due to work commitments, the constant travel and family reasons, Donald unfortunately cannot commit the time that is needed to be a Senior coach of a Premier League Club.
Donald has put the players and Avondale Heights Football Club first in making this decision and has always had a club first attitude which he has helped create.
Donald added stability to our club when it was needed most through his professionalism, wealth of experience, hard work and relentless hours over the last three years.
When he joined the Avondale Heights Football Club, he was thrown into the deep end taking over mid-season and has performed brilliantly from the first game he coached.
The club will be forever indebted to Donald for helping set up a solid base for our senior teams and more importantly our club to compete at the top level and as a result, the club is now in a terrific position moving forward with all of our senior and under 19s players re-signing for next season. It is exciting times ahead with plenty of young talent on our list. The Avondale Heights Football Club would also like to thank Terry and the McDonald family for their unwavering support and we wish them all the best for the future knowing that they will always be welcome with open arms at our club.
We would like to wish Donald and Terry all the very best in their next football journey. Any club would be privileged to have Donald and Terry involved at their football club.
