SENIOR COACHING ANNOUNCEMENT
The Avondale Heights Football Club would like to formally announce that Senior Coach, Richard Little, will not be returning to the club as coach in Season 2024. Having joined as Senior Assistant coach, working alongside Paddy Byrne in 2021-2022, Dick was appointed Senior Coach for Season 2023 in August last year.
The playing group were advised of Dick’s decision, last Thursday night, prior to the Rd 18 clash at Canning St against Pascoe Vale.
“Although my time at Avondale was short, the welcoming and inclusive nature of the people around the club made it feel like home. With on field results difficult to achieve, those we did have were especially sweet. To stay up in Premier Division for 20 consecutive seasons is a fantastic accomplishment and I look forward to seeing the development and growth of the playing group over the next few years as they move forward to greater success. Thank you to the Avondale family, especially those that I’ve worked closely with over the last few seasons and good luck for 2024 and beyond”.
On behalf of the entire senior playing group, support staff, committee, junior players, their families and supporters of the Avondale Heights Football Club, we wish to extend nothing but our thanks and appreciation to Dick for his dedication throughout the past three seasons’. His preparation and commitment to the club has been first class, as such, we extend our best wishes to Dick, and his family for their future endeavours.
Dick’s final task with the Avondale Heights Football Club will be at our Senior football Presentation night, on Friday 22nd September at The Leveson Hotel in North Melbourne.
A process to appoint a Senior Coach of the Avondale Heights Football Club will now commence.
