SENIOR COACHING TEAM FOR 2021
As Avondale Heights Football Club gears up for an assault on the EDFL Premier League season, all coaching appointments and match committee for season 2021 have been finalized.
I will be joined by Matt Cravino (Dogga) who will be a playing assistant coach for season 2021. Matt has been a great on field leader for the club for many years and is a multiple time club champion. Playing and coaching is a tough gig but I’ve always found the best coaches are the ones that have had to work hard at their footy. As small inside midfielder who’s not that quick, to be still playing well at this standard of footy at 33 years of age is a testament to how good Dogga is. He doesn’t have to be the best player any more, he just needs to help the younger players become better.
Adrian Aparo will continue as assistant coach and will be in charge of the offence. Adrian has a sharp footy brain and has good grasp of the style of footy we need to be successful at Premier League level. Being not long out of the game and an Avondale Heights person it’s great for a young list.
Training has started very well with some great times being run in the 1 kilometre repeat effort and to have 35 on the track in December is exciting for the club
